Summer Pictures!

Here is a snapshot of our summer... not everything we've done of course (it's been a busy summer) but some of the highlights. We've been up at Grandma and Grandpa's as often as we can, hanging out at the lake, swimming in the very warm Torch Lake, and enjoying the sunshine and family. We went camping and to Katie Duffy's wedding (now Katie Garza!) up in Marquette and had so much fun relaxing for the week. This past couple of weeks have been spent mostly up north with the cousins from Florida and just hanging out, as I have a couple weeks off before my FINAL semester of school! The boys, my mom and I went to the Buckley Old Engine Show yesterday which was sort of fun... we rode an old steam engine. As you can see from the pictures, most of the fun we have had involves the water! We head up to Drummond Island tomorrow for more water fun too!

Hunter's birthday party!

Hunter's birthday party was super fun... we had burgers on the grill, yummy cake, and Hunt-man got some very fun presents! It was great... next up, his 2nd birthday party up north over Memorial Weekend!!

Hunter's Trout

Hunter and Grandpa went back to the kids trout pond this morning and came home victorious with Hunter's two trout! It was raining, windy, and cold but they stuck it out like true outdoorsmen and it was worth it! No tagged fish so Hunter didn't win a prize but he did get a new "fishin" hat from Jack's Sport Shop and he gets to cook his trout with dad when we get home!

Trout Festival Weekend!

I am having trouble loading some of the pictures and the computer keeps crashing on me so these are the ones I got to load... see my facebook page for more. Anyway, the boys had a very busy day today. Trout festival and fishing this morning. Alex and Hunter both caught fish but Hunter lost his on the bank as he reeled it in. We visited the petting zoo at the carnival (yuck), went on the Tilt-A-Whirl (ugh) and had a corn dog for lunch (yum!). Next up was an Earth Day Celebration at Grass River Natural Area where the boys learned how to play games from recycled stuff, make a guitar from recycled stuff, went on a story walk to learn about seeds, and then came home and played with Sarah in the court. They sure better sleep good tonight!

Hunter's Spring Break

So for one day on Hunter's Spring Break, we went to Detroit and went to the zoo, saw some very cool animals and a 4D movie about Africa (hence the really cool glasses we got to wear!) and then we went to Greektown for dinner (check out Hunter eating his Gyro and real Hummus!) and we got to check out the last home Red Wings Game!! It was so much fun, Hunter was such a trooper for the entire long day and it was fan appreciation day so Hunter got to come home with a souvenir - a Red Wings flag for the car!! It was such a great day!

Spring Break fun!

For our mini Spring Break, we went up north skiing... not a lot of snow unfortunately but we had fun anyway! My friend Becca came with us and we snowboarded (it's been a long time for me!!) but it was a good time. Alex and Grandpa and Grandma met us there too... the boys had fun and no one got hurt! Yay!

More new stuff...

And more pictures... these are pictures of Hunter hanging out with Maria at another friend's (Quinn's) birthday party... he's really quite the popular man. :) Also, pictures of us on our way to our ski weekend with our poor Vibe packed up and me and Hunter after skiing!! The last is the awesome snowman we made the other day... it was very heavy and we were very proud!!
